FAITH LIKE A MUSTARD SEED

I have been reading through the gospel of  Matthew and there is some crazy stuff in there. Like healing demons, moving mountains , feeding 5000 peps and walking on water. Those all sound crazy and amazing but they really did happen. Sometimes I wonder if we as people could ever have that much faith to do those things ,well through the power of God I mean. I don’t even know what real modern day faith looks like. Maybe its selling everything and moving to Africa to be a missionary and helping the poor or maybe its jumping off a bridge with a large buggy attached to you. I dunno. You would think a guy like me working at a church would have the faith thing down. Well, I don’t really. Our church is going through a lot with everything ranging from needing more leaders to financial strains to organization to building repairs to outreach. So, how does a person go about building up faith. God will provide right or is that just something we say when we don’t have any other answers. What if we really said God will provide and believed it. I am not saying we don’t need to make budgets , find jobs, and etc. I believe we have to meet God in the middle. Live life and do as you would do but have faith that things will turn around. On an even more spiritual side meaning healing, changing someones life for Christ and healing emotional wounds, I believe God moves if we allow His spirit to lead. So have faith like a mustard seed.

Have faith like a mustard seed by:

1. Reading His word and knowing Hid miracles and power
2. Pray consistently , Pray without ceasing
3. Ask yourself if this what your asking is in God’s plan and if so pray that it is in His plan. Be ok if its not. Pray for doors to be opened and closed. Seek His will. Sometimes it might not be the right timing for you but it’s the right timing for HIM.

16 I brought him to your disciples, but they could not heal him.”

17 “O unbelieving and perverse generation,” Jesus replied, “how long shall I stay with you? How long shall I put up with you? Bring the boy here to me.”

20 He replied, “Because you have so little faith. I tell you the truth, if you have faith as small as a mustard seed, you can say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there’ and it will move. Nothing will be impossible for you.”

I really liked this post.

I've found myself struggling with my faith a lot because of things that have happened in my life, but I realized that real faith is believing when it's hard to believe, and trusting when you feel like you can't trust.

A little bit of faith goes a long way!

I like your post as well, I have been reading the bible and I did not understand that you are committing adultery if you are married and then you leave your husband or wife and marry someone else, you are still committing adultery...More and more that I read the bible, it is very interesting.

I really enjoyed your post. I try to have faith like a mustard seed. As tiny as that seems it is sometimes so difficult and I struggle but Jesus' final words are encouraging in that we shall move mountains with our faith one day.
